Though I believe the Lord's in control, this seemed way too early for Him to take Matt. Knowing Matt, he's probably gotten a chariot of fire going at record speed by now. Hanging out with the folks on the river of life fishing once in a while. But most blest of all, seeing Jesus and ancestors we've never seen or even knew about in this life, there with the Lord forever because of what Jesus did in Matt's life and the lives of our ancestors. I know we'll see him again Someday but the pain of this temporary loss is going to continue for a while.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. My heart goes out to your entire family. You boys keep your head up. We all love you and pray for you. It's times like this we need to submerge ourself in the word and let God embrace us with his love. The things we don't understand we have to leave to his understanding. He has a plan and his ways are not always our ways. Our hearts go out to you. Your family has lost a great deal. Matt you were by far the best father and husband and neighbor and friend I have ever known. I will miss watching you rip up and down the street on your toys but most importantly IM going to miss your kindness and loving heart. I can honestly say your the most selfless man I have ever had the honor to know. I wish the world was full of men like Matt.
