Ruth L. Mochi

DELAWARE: Ruth L. Mochi, 57, passed away Monday evening, June 25, 2012 at her home with all her loved ones by her side, following a courageous battle with Crohn's Disease. She was born July 31, 1954 in Grayson, Kentucky to Frank Fields and Ruby Jewel Barker. Ruth received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. A social butterfly, Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends, including lifelong friends, Liz and Marla. She enjoyed singing Karaoke and was a member of the F.O.E. #376 in Delaware, Ohio. All who were blessed to know Ruth will forever be touched by her friendly and nurturing spirit.

She celebrated her 28th wedding anniversary to Leo Mochi on June 24, 2012. She is also survived by two daughters, Amee Gray of Los Angeles, CA and Lori and Tony Fasolino of Columbus, OH; son, Leo Mochi III of Delaware, OH; grandchildren, Madylin McClure, and Audrey and Dylan Fasolino; her father, Frank Fields of Virginia; sister, Barbara and Cliff Alligood of Ocala, FL; a cousin with whom she shared an especially close relationship, Genitta Barker; numerous nieces and nephews; and a huge extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother; sister, Donna Kennedy; and two brothers, Ernest and Edward Hamm.

Friends and family may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Adam Willford will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.

I loved Ruth from the moment I met her! She always made me feel comfortable and her spirit was so beautiful. She was so loving and kind and it was always a joy to be around her! So very sorry for everyone that knew her and even more sorry for those that didn't!
