Gregory P. Chernay
Gregory P. Chernay, 54, of Coopersburg, died January 28, 2012 in his residence. He was the husband of Cindy A. (Kercher) Chernay. They were married on February 14, 1988. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, he was a son of Paul C. Chernay of Coopersburg, and the late Betty Jo (Bussey) Chernay. He was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem, PA. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and Southern Lehigh High School. He was employed as a printing press operator for Chernay Printing, Coopersburg for many years. Gregory enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife, children, and grandsons. Survivors: Wife; father; son, Nicholas P. Chernay of Coopersburg, daughters, Crystal L. (Miller) wife of Joshua J. Husser of Bethlehem, Tiffany N. (Miller) wife of Richard C. Heller of Orefield; grandsons, Myles C. Heller and Weston D. Husser; nieces, Laura Ward and Lisa (Ward) Arnold. He was predeceased by a sister, Paula J. (Chernay) Ward. Services: Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 12 p.m. from St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Road, Bethlehem, PA with the Very Reverend Father S. David Mahaffey, Jr., as celebrant. Interment in Hellertown Union Cemetery, Hellertown. Friends may call Friday from 10 to 12 p.m. in the church. The Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Kutztown, is in charge of arrangements. On-line condolences may be recorded at www.ludwickfh.com
