Michael S. Hajcak
Michael S. Hajcak, 78, formerly of Lansford, died on July 30, 2009 at Hometown Nursing Home, Hometown. Born in Lansford, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Chervenak) Hajcak. He worked for Johnson and Johnson Corporation in Brunswick, NJ. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church in Lansford. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Lansford Amvets and Lansford American Legion. He was an avid Notre Dame and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved fishing and being surrounded by his family and friends. Survivors: Brother, John Hajcak of Lansford; two sisters, Mary Salay of Rahway, NJ and Anna Soyke of York, PA. Nieces and nephews, great nephew and nieces; step grandchildren, Carl and Doreen. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Hajcak, Stephen Hajcak and his wife Dolores, and Sylvester Hajcak. Services: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial is on Friday, 8/7/2009, at 10:00 AM from St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church in Lansford. Calling Hours are on Friday Morning from 9-10 AM at the Church. Military Internment at St. Michaels Cemetery in Summit Hill. Lansford UVO Service Friday Morning 9:30 AM. Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, Lansford is in charge of arrangements.
