Wayne was a friendly and encouraging classmate at MGM in Semmes, AL. Class of 1978. Sort of like a Big Teddy Bear within the hallways of the school with knack for brightening the days of all he encountered. Wayne, you will be missed by many. RIP Big Guy.

Never a dull moment around Wayne he kept everyone entertained either by singing or just being his happy outgoing self. He will sadly be missed by all that knew him and I think everyone from Semmes and mgm knew him. The class of 78 will surely miss our friend....praying for his family

I had the opportunity to meet Big Wayne 13 years riding Harleys, one of the nicest persons I have ever met. He would go out of his way to speak to you. He never told me he was sick, never complained, always laughing. RIP Big Wayne.

Wayne I met you over 30 years ago. I hold a very special place in my heart for you! I was spell bound when I walked onto my surprise 40th Birthday party at the Stockton Country Club and I saw you and your band Sax Appeal standing there. You were there to play for me! I have never met a more kinder person than Wayne Crumpton. He was never judgemental and never met a stranger. You immediately fell in love with him.
