William Emmett “Bill” Shirer, 74, husband of Sharon Baldwin Shirer, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025.
Born on September 18, 1951, in Atlanta, GA, he was a son of the late Dr. William Hampton Shirer and the late Elizabeth Emanuel Shirer. Bill retired from International Paper Company after 48 years of service. He had a deep passion for the outdoors, and found great joy in spending time hunting and fishing throughout the Lowcountry. Bill also loved to capture these adventures on video, preserving memories of their trips that he cherished and shared with everyone close to him.
