Carol McCrary, 85, died October 30, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown, Greenville, SC. Carol and her husband of 64 years, Robert, were residents of Easley, SC since 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margie Alice Cole Joyce.
She moved to Brevard from Lanhan, MD. to work as an RN at Brevard College in 1960. Later Carol went on to school for Nurse Anesthetist in the Charlotte hospital system. She retired from Transylvania Community Hospital in 1997.
Carol loved to sew and made her wedding gown as well as her wedding party gowns.
She and her husband loved adventure and traveling and traveled around the world. She enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, sailing, traveling across the United States in their camper for over 20 years and she was an avid cook.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert, a son; Scott McCrary of Easley, SC, a sister; Lynda and her husband Don Glenn of Omaha, Nebraska and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm-12:40 pm. at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations. Graveside services will follow at Gillespie -Evergreen Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
