Marilyn Sitton Jarrett, 82, of Rosman passed away on Friday, October 31st peacefully at her home.
Marilyn grew up in the Quebec Community. She attended the two room Quebec School and graduated from Rosman High School as an honor student. She played varsity basketball during her four years in high school. After she graduated in 1961, she went to work at Ecusta and worked until the mill closed. Marilyn and her husband Doug were avid deer hunters and could be found in tree stands in North and South Carolina during deer seasons. She had a lifelong love of books and read constantly.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Doug, her parents, Bud and Myrtle Lee Sitton, and her sister Margaret Trotter.
She is survived by her sons Michael and Chandon Jarrett of Rosman, her daughter-in-law Sally, her grandsons Hawkin and Coley Jarrett and her cousin and lifelong friend Ray Hoxit. Also, she is survived by many cousins and friends who will truly miss her.
Visitation for Marilyn will be Thursday, November 6 from 4-6 PM at Moore-Blanchard Funeral & Cremations on 100 North Country Club Road, Brevard, NC 28712.
