In Loving Memory of

GLADA HATFIELD MCCOY

August 17,1937-October 24, 2025

"May she enter the land of joy and light, join the fellowship of saints, and rest in peace"

Glada Hatfield McCoy, 88, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on October 24, 2025, following a tragic house fire.

Born in Ransom, Pike County, Kentucky, on August 17, 1937, Glada was the beloved daughter of Floyd and Daryl (McCoy) Hatfield and the second of twelve children. She was a devoted wife to the late Ronald Keith McCoy, a loving mother to Ronald Fleming McCoy and Christopher Shawn McCoy, and a proud grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who deeply loved her family.

She leaves behind her grandchildren Kelley (Lonnie) Seymour and Chelsea (Nate) Samson; great-grandchildren Kayla (Luke) Plageman, Devin, and Alyssa Seymour, and Carter and Cali Reah Samson; great-great grandchildren Parker & Rhett Plageman; niece Debbie Ferrelli; great-nieces Kelli and Kaci Ferrelli; great-nephew Guy Ferrelli; and her special friends Kevin Corry, Mary & Gary Morbitizer & the entire Crabtree Family.

Glada was preceded in death by her parents; sister Agnes Hatfield Reister, brothers Ernest and James Phillip Hatfield; brothers-in-law James (Jim) O'Nan and John (Jack) Terrill; and sisters-in-law Gaynor Hatfield, Phyllis Hamilton Hatfield, and Wanda Hatfield.

She is survived by her cherished siblings Ann (Edward) Carter, Floyd (Bethel) Hatfield, Hansel (Hank) Hatfield, Ance (Laketa) Hatfield, Rebecca Jean Terrill, Lucas Bryant (Jan) Hatfield, Thomas Gregory (Kathy) Hatfield, and Bill Acie (Kathy) Hatfield.

Family was everything to Glada. She and her siblings shared an unbreakable bond, checking in daily and never ending a call without saying "I love you." She delighted in annual family reunions, decorating for every occasion, and celebrating the holidays surrounded by loved ones.

Glada's home and heart were always open. She found joy in gardening, decorating, traveling, and cheering for her favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. For over 40 years, she built a respected career as a real estate agent, known for her hard work, loyalty, and kindness toward her clients and friends.

Her love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in all who knew her.

A celebration of Glada's life will be announced at a later date.
