Jerry DeWayne Watson

Jerry DeWayne Watson age 55 of Ackerman, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on November 3, 1969, in Amory, Mississippi, to the late Jerry Watson and Nancy Charlene Rock Watson. He was a member of Chester Baptist Church in Choctaw County, Mississippi and a welder with Gulf States. Jerry spent much of his past time doing what he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry is survived by his wife, Pennie Brooks Watson of Ackerman, Mississippi; two daughters, Dixie Renee Watson and Nancy Elizabeth Watson both of Ackerman, Mississippi; his mother, Nancy Watson of Ackerman, Mississippi; one sister, Allison (Rusty) James of Ackerman, Mississippi; two brothers, Timothy (Christi) Watson of Mathiston, Mississippi and Joseph (Dawn) Watson of Ackerman, Mississippi and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Watson. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Jerry will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church in Choctaw County, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Watson's cremains will be interred next to his father, Jerry Watson at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County, Mississippi.
