Joan Elizabeth Bonnett Grice, 90, widow of Howard William Grice, passed away early Friday morning in the comfort of her home in West Columbia with her loving family by her side after a week long illness.
Born in Aiken County, Joan was a daughter of the late Ben and Beatrice Bonnett. Throughout her adult life, she resided in West Columbia, where she embraced her role as a devoted homemaker. Joan's greatest joy came from her family, and she was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three children: Judy Price (Randy) of Chapin, SC, Susan Grice of Pendleton, SC, and Guy Grice of West Columbia, SC. Joan took immense pride in her grandchildren, Justin Price (Erin), Ben Price (Kelly), Taylor Price (Terri), Tony Corley, Danielle Huckeriede, Jerry Jadin, Macy Grice (Cody), and Sabrina Grice (Anthony), and she adored her three great-grandchildren, Ansel Price, Hampton Price, Amelia Bea Price.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Gene Bonnett, her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Rowe, and two cherished grandsons, Justin and Jesse Grice.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, October 27th beginning at 2 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 o'clock with The Rev. Bill Howard III officiating. Interment will be in Windsor First Baptist Church Cemetery.
