John Edward Washel, 77, of Wintersville, OH passed away on October 20, 2025 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born on July 25, 1948 to the late John and Margaret (Kish) Washel. He is also preceded in death by his wife Bonita (Thompson) Washel, and one son John Trent "JT" Washel. John served his country in the Marine Corps and taught History for 34 years at Edison Local. He leaves behind one son Brenner (Amanda) Washel of Goose Creek S.Carolina, four grandchildren Rowen, Lane, Marissa, and Malea. There will be no service at this time. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
