My Dad is truly my hero. He taught me by example that a good man never stops loving and protecting his family. I am truly proud to be his son. I love you Poppa.

So sorry to hear of this news. Great memories of Walt both before and after I joined the PD. Last time I saw Walt he was working as a bailiff in OC. He had not changed a bit from the young cop I remember as a teenager. My condolences to Walt's family. RIP my friend. Lt. Wayne Lauman, retired.

Walt liked to keep things light. He seemed to find the absolute ludicrous side of most situations. I could never tell if his perspective would lead him to voicing outrage or a puzzling type of amusement. In any event, it always led to laughter. Thanks for the laughs, Walt. R.I.P.
