Larry Reding, age 72, of Winona, Texas, was born on November 14, 1952, and passed away on October 30,2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Melody Reding; his son, Andy Stevens; his siblings, Keith, Louis, Carla, and Linda; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Irby (Shane), Amy Barrett, Lindsay Henson (Aaron), and Lana Stevens; and his great grandchildren, Remedy Irby, Hazeleigh Irby, and Westyn Stevens-Foust. Larry is also lovingly remembered by his cherished fur babies, Tinker, Jasmine, and Sugarbabe, along with many friends who will miss him dearly.

Larry worked hard throughout his life and took great pride in providing for those he loved. He spent 20 years hauling cattle, followed by 12 years in the oilfield as a diesel mechanic. He later continued his career at Sanderson Farms for 5 years as a diesel mechanic, and most recently finished his career at Gateway Oil. He enjoyed working and would always choose to stay active rather than sit at home.

Larry cherished his family and his pets, finding joy in every moment spent with them. He was known for his generous heart and his willingness to help others without expecting anything in return. He preferred to handle things on his own, yet was always the first to lend a hand when someone else needed support.

Outside of work, Larry loved relaxing with classic westerns, such as Gunsmoke. He was also passionate about motorcycles and the brotherhood that came with riding. As a proud member of the Cossacks biker club, he enjoyed the freedom of the open road and took great pride in the many bikes he owned over the years.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends who visited and supported them during the past few months, especially Amber, Thomas and Christy, Robert and Tina, Paul and Hope, and Philip. Your kindness and presence brought comfort during a difficult time.

Larry’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Graveside services for Larry will be 3:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
