Paul Adam Winslow was born on August 17, 1967, in Creston, Iowa and departed this earth on October 23, 2025, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Paul earned his associate’s degree in HVAC and began his career working alongside his parents at Winslow Thermogas in Lennox. In May of 1994, he married Dana Macy of Vermillion, South Dakota. In 2002, Paul, Dana, and their two children, Adam and Macy, returned to Vermillion, where Paul began working for the predecessor of Royal Canin- a position he held with dedication up until the day of his passing.
Paul was an avid Hawkeye fan who loved having a great time with family and friends, whether at the bar, river, or in the backyard. His greatest joy in life was his family, who he would do absolutely anything for. No one ever left his home empty-handed.
Paul was known for his love of grilling and smoking food, taking immense pride in crafting meals that were always unique. He never followed a recipe, instead making dishes by instinct- grabbing whatever seasonings inspired him in the moment and turning them into something special.
Paul was deeply proud of his Winslow heritage. A direct descendant of Edward Winslow, one of the Mayflower’s original voyagers and financiers, he honored his family legacy in many ways- including sitting through hours of work to have the Winslow family crest tattooed on his calf.
Left to cherish his memory and carry on his love of life is his Wife, Dana Macy Winslow;, Son, Adam Paul Winslow; Daughter Macy Marie Winslow (Jake); Mother, Zelda Winslow;, Sister; Lucinda Winslow-Haidsiak (Mike); Mother-in-Law, Janet Macy; Brother-in-Law, Mike Macy; Nephews Seth and Jared Haidsiak (Shannon); Neice Emily Dorgan (Cody); Great Nephew Harrison Dorgan; and his beloved bulldog Franky.
Preceding Paul in death were his Father, David Paul Winslow, his Father-in-Law, Dave Macy; his grandparents, and his many beloved pets.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 1st from 2-4 pm at the Main Street Center in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
