Ricky Glenn Smith, Sr., 72, of Eustace, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2025. Ricky Sr. was born on January 25, 1953, to Dillard Odell and Willie Mae Smith in Waco, Texas.
He grew up in Kemp and graduated from Kemp High School in 1970. At the age of 18, Ricky founded Smith & Son Plumbing, where he worked diligently to build a respected family business. He retired in 2004, passing the company on to his son, Ricky Jr. Ricky enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a proud member of The Sabers Motorcycle Club. He loved to have a good time and make people smile—there was never a dull moment when he was around. Ricky loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Willie Mae (Huff) Smith, and his brother Daniel Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Michelle Smith and Ricky Smith, Jr. and wife Jessica; grandchildren: Bryan Alford, Blake Alford, Colton Smith and Morgan Smith; siblings: Vic Smith and wife Farris Ann, and Gail McDougal and husband Malcolm; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
