Sterling Christopher Smith “Hank” was born to Annie Mae Smith and the late Sammy Jordan Smith on March 2,1980 in Macon, Ga. On April 18, 2023, Sterling departed this earthly life and entered peacefully into eternal rest.
He is preceded in death by his father Sammy Jordan Smith, his grandparents Charlie Sr. and Eva Kate Gibson, Jordan, and Sarah Smith. Hank accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Central Union Baptist Church in Fort Valley, Ga. He attended public schools in Fort Valley, GA. He worked at Arriscraft in Fort Valley, Ga for 5 years. He also worked at Nu-Way Wieners for 16 years up until his passing.
Hank was an easy-going well-mannered man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He did not need a special time or occasion to have fun. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, playing cards, and dominoes.
Hank leaves to forever cherish his memories his mother Annie Mae Smith of Fort Valley, GA; daughter, Divinity Green; two sisters, Tamiko Gibson and Josie Smith of Fort Valley, Ga; a brother, Samuel Smith of Fort Valley, GA; two nieces Shameika McGhee & Erica Ragin, two nephews Latrez Trice & Darius McGhee. A host of great nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
