Terry Linn Frantum, 82, of Jamaica, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry, with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy prayed at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Jamaica. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Raccoon River Pet Rescue in Terry's memory. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.caldwellparrish.com.
Born May 20, 1943, in Perry, Iowa, Terry Frantum was the son of Ralph and Marjorie (Garland) Frantum. He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1961 and went on to work in various businesses before becoming Manager of The Perry Elks Lodge. Terry later enjoyed a fulfilling career in country club management, retiring from the Elks in 2010.
A proud member of Perry Elks Lodge #407 for 61 years, Terry served as Exalted Ruler in 1969. He was also active in the Iowa and National Club Managers Associations and a dedicated member of the Jamaica Lions Club. His faith was important to him, and he was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry.
Terry’s early years were shaped by his involvement in 4-H, which he cherished deeply. In later years, he found spiritual comfort in praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
His greatest joy was his homestead outside Jamaica, Iowa, where he took pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn and shared the peaceful acreage with his beloved dog, Robby.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Marjorie Frantum. He is survived by his brothers Keith (Jackie) Frantum and Duane (Mickey) Frantum; seven nieces and nephews: Brian (Beth) Frantum, Chad (Jen) Frantum, Corey Frantum, Shane (Leslie) Frantum, Tracy (Tim) Randall, Scott (Amber) Frantum, and Tina (Scott) Beaman; thirteen great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
