Virginia Ruth Lee, age 88, a beloved mother, nana and friend, passed away peacefully in Comanche, Texas on October 31, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1937 to Henry Louis Robertson and Isla Frances (Webb) Robertson in Ralls, Texas. Virginia married William Bennett Lee on September 26, 1953 in Newburg, Texas. They worked hard and built a beautiful life together as longtime residents of Comanche County, and were blessed with three children; two sons and one daughter.

Virginia spent the last few months at Legacy Estate after enduring numerous surgeries and therapies. She was so strong and persevered through it all. She was grateful for the care and love she received by all of the nurses, aides, activity director and everyone at Legacy Estate. She spent the last week of her life surrounded by family and friends and the wonderful caregivers and friends at Legacy. It was a precious time of laughter and stories, and conversations of the promises to come. Virginia loved her family and she loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was active in Vacation Bible Schools, and served in other churches in Comanche over the years. She had a heart for missions, and went on many mission trips to Mexico and Latvia. Her heart was always serving others and the Lord. She worked as a bus driver and served in the cafeteria at Comanche Elementary School for many years. She was also a caregiver as she worked in the nursing home and did private sitting. Her life reflects steadfast obedience and strength, and a service to others that glorifies the Lord.

She is survived by her children Louis Lee, wife Mary; Tommy Lee; and Judy Hodges, husband Nickey. Grandchildren: Micah Hodges, Kimberly Aliano, Talema Edwards, Jennifer Isham, and Jonathan Lee. Great grandchildren: Randall, Shyla, Malachi, Bella, Lincoln, Monroe, Judah, Ava, Louella, Olive, Eden, Libby, Raven, Harley June, Ellie, Grey and Rhett. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and best friend Evelyn Lee, and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband William Lee, and two brothers and one sister.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church & Eastside Baptist Church.
