Funeral Services for Wanda Matthews will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel. Rev. Dennis Duvall and Rev. Matthew Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Wanda was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS to Junior and Hazel McKinion. She attended Bloomo School and later graduated at Neshoba Central High School. Mrs. Wanda loved to cook; especially her famous biscuits. She loved to see her grandchildren coming, where she had coke and ice cream waiting on them. She loved to feed the birds, fishing, camping, and her flowers. She was a long-time member of Philadelphia Church of God. She loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her sons; Mike Williamson (Crystal) Philadelphia, MS, Richard Matthews (Sandra) Philadelphia, MS., daughters; Belinda Brown (Neil) Springfield, MO, Karen Matthews (Ted Conduff) Springfield, MO, twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, brothers; Danny McKinion (Toni) Philadelphia, MS, Ricky McKinion (Angel) Philadelphia, MS., along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Williamson and Henry Matthews; parents, Junior and Hazel McKinion; brother, Terry McKinion; niece, Theresa McKinion; nephew, Clint McKinion.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Williamson, Wade Pierce, Jacob Brown, Marc Davis, Danny "Dink" McKinion and Ricky Irons.
