Dick was one of the (un?)lucky persons to help train me when I started at AWM. I still remember visiting the tomato fields and sheds with him, and wondering how he could tell one disease from another. I also miss coffee with him.

I will greatly miss Dick, especially on Tuesday mornings. Those of us who retired from the county Department of Agriculture, as he did, met weekly and reflected on our current activities, families, and past memories of our careers. Dick and I shared a friendship of over 30 years and I am grateful for knowing this special man. I pray for his family and Dick as he now is at peace with our Lord. May he rest in His loving arms. Dear Waldrip Family,
I had the pleasure to know and work with Dick when he worked for AWM. I will always remember him for his easy going demeanor and that hearty laugh. It was contagious and I usually joined in, sometimes without knowing what was so funny, but I couldn't help it. I am sorry for your loss and send you all mental hugs.
