Stephen Soltis Obituary
He was born in Glen Campbell, Pa., on Nov. 25, 1946, to the late Mike and Mary (Phillips) Soltis.
He was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School. After graduation, he entered the Armed Forces where he served in the Army as a Medic in Korea on the DMZ. He was a member of the American Legion Post #435, Glen Campbell, Pa. He retired from Republic Steel (LTV) in 2002 after working 34 years as a Test Engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Vada (Mumau) Soltis; his daughter, Sherri (Joe) Weir; his granddaughters, Brianna and Mackenzie Weir; his siblings, Helen (Don) Perish, Joe (Beth) Soltis.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Richard, Pete, Mike and Andy Soltis; and sisters, Mildred Zahursky, Mary Ann Bublenic and Irene Moyer.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.

Steve was a wonderful Uncle, we always enjoyed visits with the family. Deacon was a blessing to us and was especially fond of his brother Steve.

One smile that will NEVER be forgotten! Still in shock over the news! Last time seeing and speaking, of course at "camp" he was full of smiles, and while joining in picking up fallen branches, a lot of small talk, nice guy all around, Eppy you've been through so much already, may God be with you, Chickie, and family..... This will NEVER go away nor should it, BUT i promise you in time it will get easier! He is in Heaven with alot of loved ones, he is looking down on you, and would want you to be able to continue to have a happy life! You two were /are soul mates, that will never end. Think of all the happy times you guys were able to spend with each other! IF there is a definition of TRUE LOVE, it would simply say Steve and Vada (Stef and Eppy ) with all my heart-Cortney
