Alex Marcotte Obituary
Alex was a graduate of Chardon High School Class of 2006, a graduate of the University of Akron - School of Engineering and worked for Aqua Ohio.
He was a CHS soccer and basketball coach and enjoyed playing basketball. His greatest love was spending time with his wife and three daughters.
Survivors include his wife, Monika (nee: Peschke) of Chardon; daughters, Morgan, Maddie and Abby; parents, Mike and Jane of Chardon; siblings, Michael (Rebecca) Marcotte of Naples, FL, Mallory (Jacob Becker) Marcotte of Watertown, MN and Sam Marcotte of Chardon; grandfather, James Diebel of MN; in-laws, Kurt and Laura (nee: DiSanto) Peschke of Chardon; siblings-in-law, Kyle (Brittany Hellerman) Peschke and Kristen (Michael) Valentino, all of Chardon and numerous extended family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500' south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH with burial to follow at Chardon Municipal Cemetery. Donations suggested to the Alexander J. Marcotte Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank for Morgan, Maddie and Abby.. Information and condolences online at www.burrservice.com.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Alex's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I didn't know Alex well, but I played in the Men's basketball league with him at the Chardon YMCA. Great competitor and an all around cool guy.

Keeping your family in our thoughts, and prayers. I didn't know Alex personally, but I can feel for all of those who did. There's been a feeling of solemnness in the air for two days now. It hit even harder today I think, when the reality set in. My neighbor knew him.
