Barbara Parkhurst Obituary
She was born January 12, 1943 in Pekin, IL to William B. and Goldie T. Kleen Brinkman. She married Fred Parkhurst on September 18, 1965 in Delavan, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Parkhurst; one daughter, Patricia (Wayne Dennis) Wysocki; one grandson, Jason Wysocki, all of Woodbridge, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara retired in June as a crossing guard for Prince William County with over 25 years of service.
She was a member of Our Lady Of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge and was an avid quilter.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday January 4, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Delavan, IL. Father Gerald Verdun will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan. Davis Mortuary in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

I'm so sorry to learn of Barbara's passing. She worked for Potomac News (now News & Messenger) for years as a tear-sheet clerk. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Barbara's family. I knew her from Our Lady of Angel's bingo, a long time ago. She was such a sweet person to me. She always talked about her husband, Trisha and was so proud of her grandson. Rest in peace beautiful friend..
