William (Bill) L. Woomer William (Bill) L Woomer born on December 16, 1935 died on October 2, 2010 at his residence in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He fought a long and hard battle with prostate cancer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes M. Woomer and his faithful puppies Woody, Dolly & Little Casey.

Bill worked as an electrician for Becker Electric for 45 years. Prior to that, he was in the Marine Corp.

Bill is survived by his companion, Linda Casey, a son Eric J. (Lori) Woomer of Florida, daughters Carole (Timmy) Massey and Julia Casey Lynne Hasley, of Stafford, sixgrandchildren, Doreen, David (Kari), Tera (Jessie), Adam, Logan and Jazlynn, six great grandchildren, Rebecca, DJ, David (Little Man), Tyler, Nicholas and Skylyn, and one sister, Joy (John) Schauer of Lebanon, Pa..

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, October 6 from 7-9p.m. at Miller Funeral Home , 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, Va.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va. The Palbearers will be: Eric Woomer, John Schauer, Bob Oqurcak, Timmy Massey, David Massey, Adam Cappel, Olin E. Elster, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Bill Woomer to:

American Cancer Society in support of Relay For Life. Checks may be sent to: Sandra Lozier, 12062 Willowood Dr., Woodbridge, Va. 22192
