Irene Bartram Obituary

Mrs. Irene S. Bartram, 89, of Heritage Village, died April 3rd, at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Harry Staib and Leroy Bartram. Mrs. Bartram was born December 29, 1921, in Danbury, daughter of the late Dr. Harold Miller and Anne (Webb) Miller. A lifelong area resident she was raised in Danbury and was secretary of the class of 1939 and involved with the class reunions throughout the years. She resided in Bethel, where she raised her family. She was the secretary of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bethel for many years and was actively involved with the Bethel Senior Center and their ceramic program. Irene is survived by two daughters and their spouses. Jan and Tom Gall of Southbury, and Debbie and Bill Barthelmess of Woodbury; and her two step children and their spouses, Holly and Bob Kravec of Southbury and Tom and Toni Bartram of Bethel. She was blessed with five grandchildren, David and April Barthelmess of CO, Amy and Todd Munn of Cheshire, Lori and John Stopka of Wallingford, Melissa and Ed Dalton of Naugatuck and Meghan Bartram of Danbury; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury. Memorial contributions may be made to Southbury Ambulance Assoc., 68 Georges Hill Road, Southbury CT 06488.
