Charles Donald "Don" Campbell Charles Donald "Don" Campbell, 64, of Waynesboro, passed away Thursday morning, October 7, 2010, at Augusta Health.

Don was born on January 28, 1946, in Anderson, South Carolina, the son of the late Horace Jefferson and Ellen Frye Campbell.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Waynesboro Elks Lodge Number 2270.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Campbell; one son, Chip Campbell of Waynesboro; two daughters, Amy Campbell Bagwell and her husband, David, of Piedmont, South Carolina, and Polly Campbell of Brooklyn , New York; three grandchildren, Tyler, Evan and AnnaBeth Bagwell; one brother, Terry Campbell and his wife Susan of Columbia, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Reverend Robert C. Gordon officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Elks Camp, in care of Robert E. Ward, 2590 Wildwood Circle, Amissville, VA 20106.

I didnt know Don but I know his wife Dianne,she is my teacher and a wonderful person so he had to be also.my thoughts go out to all his family and friends.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Don's death. My condolences to the family. I will remember Don as a wonderful friend who loved his family very much. He supported young athletes and coached several teams. He will be missed.
