Mable M. Ratliff

Mable M. (Lewis) Ratliff, 83, of Mulberry Street, Waynesboro, departed this life on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

She was born in Fishersville, Virginia, on September 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Emmett R. Sr. and Lucy H. (Green) Lewis.

She was a member of Mount Salem Baptist Church in Staunton, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Herman and George Lewis; six sisters, Frances Darcus, Willa McNeil, Lucy McCauley, Elizabeth Smith, Helen Johnson, and Rosa Gray.

Mable is survived by her husband, C.R. Lee Ratliff Sr. of the residence; two children, C.R. Lee Ratliff Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and Molinda R. Nicholson of Waynesboro, Virginia; two granddaughters, Rhonda M. Nicholson and Phyllis R. Menz and her husband, Scott, all of Fayetteville, North Carolina; four great- grandchildren; one brother, Robert E. Lewis Jr. of Staunton, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Mount Salem Baptist Church at 1015 Stuart Street, Staunton, Virginia. Burial will be at Oaklawn Mausoleums and Memory Gardens.

Public viewing will be two hours prior to the service at the church.

Professional services provided by McCutcheon's Funeral Home.
