STAUNTON
Walter Marcus Coleman Jr., 92, husband of Ethel Marie (Clark) Coleman of Frontier Ridge Court, Staunton, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010, at King's Daughters' Rehab Center.
He was born on January 30, 1918, in Mountfair, Virginia, a son of the late Walter Marcus Sr. and Adella Lorraine (Hippert) Coleman.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force.
In addition to his wife, family members include, two daughters, Darlene Coleman and her companion, Rachel Bavister, Tammy Lam and her husband, Guy; a stepson, Ernest L. King and his wife, Julie; eight grandchildren, Amy Lam, Dwayne Lam, Willie Lam, Derek Mowbray, Laura Summers, Ginnie King, Jason King, and Paul King; and eight great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Coleman.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Old Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Lashlee Eugene Lawrence.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Henry Funeral Home.
