FORTNER
Douglas Franklin Fortner, 68, of Cincinnati, passed away on January 30, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. He was a Retired Priest with the Diocese of Covington. He is survived by his sisters, Theresa (Rod) Huber, JoAnn (David)Tischner, and a brother, Mark Fortner. Visitation 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Dobbling Funeral Home, 106 S, Ft. Thomas Ave. Fort Thomas, KY. Funeral Ceremony will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Dobbling Funeral Home, in Fort Thomas. Entombment will take place in St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the Vincent DePaul Society 2655 Crescent Springs Pike , KY 41074. Doug was a very good friend who helped us get through a lot of rough times recently. Doug had a big heart and liked to help people in need. It was always a pleasure to watch him perform simple magic tricks for children while out at a restaurant. His sermons helped us to focus on the scriptures and to apply their meaning in our daily lives.
Doug will be sorely missed.
