KNAUF

Jim Knauf, 86, of Latonia, KY passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Rosedale Green Nursing Home in Latonia, KY. He was a graduate of Holmes High School and University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of Latonia Christian Church in Latonia, KY. Jim was the Kenton County Jailer for 32 Years, 1983 KY Jailer of the Year, 1993 President of Kenton County Jailers Association and longtime Northern Kentucky Banker. He was very involved in State and Local Politics. In 1989 he was the Kenton County Democratic Club President. Jim sang the National Anthem at the Inauguration of Wendell Ford as Governor. He loved U.K. Basketball, the Cincinnati Reds and watching his Grandsons play ball. Jim was an overall people person. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Jean Knauf. Jim is survived by his Son: Steve (Lori) Knauf; Grandsons: Kyle and Konner Knauf and his adopted Rosedale Green Family. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. In Lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to Rosedale Green Nursing Home, 4250 Glenn Avenue, Latonia, KY 41015. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.connleybrothersfuneralhome.com

When Mr. Knauf was manager of the Newport National Bank, I was his assistant. He was the best boss I ever had. Always pleasant and kind with tons of friends. His children and grand children can be very very proud of him.
