Harold Rathbun Obituary

RATHBUN Harold "Lou," of Middletown, New York, retired antique dealer, passed away at home after a long illness on Thursday July 14, 2011. The son of the late Oscar and Catherine O'Neill Rathbun, Lou was born in Englewood, NJ. He is survived by his wife Claudette at home; his sons Louis of Callicoon and Stephen of Middletown. He is also survived by his daughters Donna of Dumont, NJ; Tina of Hillsdale, NJ; Connie of Hamburg, NJ and his son Michael of Pt. Pleasant, NJ. His brother Pat of Hawthorne, NJ and his sister Dorothy of New Milford, NJ. His grandchildren Christian of Narrowsburg; Jasmine of Middletown; Daniel of Hackensack, NJ; Sarah and Coreen both of Dumont, NJ. His great-grandchildren Julia, Gina and Joseph and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother George and his sisters Katherine and Mary and granddaughter Andrea. Lou had a love of anything old and unusual and would spend countless hours restoring items and furniture to their original state. He was well known around the Middletown area by many. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday July 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 18, 2011 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Rathbun Family Plot in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly, NJ. Arrangements by Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., Middletown, NY (845)-343-6023.
