Henry V. "Hank" JANOWICZ

JANOWICZ Henry "Hank" V., 84, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Passaic and moved to Wayne with his wife Irene and two children Robert and Donna in 1969 and then to Toms River in 2008.Hank was employed with the NJ Highway Authority in Woodbridge for 33 years, retiring in 1988 as a supervisor.He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Hank was a member of VFW Post 2640 in Wallington. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church in Wayne. Hank enjoyed bowling, dancing, music and entertaining with the Senior Follies in Wayne.He was predeceased by his brother, Edward. Surviving are his devoted wife of 60 years, Irene (Kobylarz) Janowicz; his son Robert Janowicz and daughter Donna Janowicz; three sisters, Eleanor Baran, Jeanie Ruszkiewicz and Rose Sautner; four grandchildren, Michael, Beth Doug and Amy; and four cherished great grandchildren.Private services will be held at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends in Northern New Jersey at a later date.
