To my lover- The best in the world who raised our children without bias, there was never use of the word step-children, they were our kids.

To my wife- who never begrudged my hunting or fishing trips. She worked, cooked our meals, cleaned our house, listened to our problems, and always with a smile on her face.

To my best friend- we camped, hiked, fished, walked, sang, and danced together for 34 short years. You will always be in my thoughts and memories.

I love you through eternity,
Your husband Donnie.

P.S. Thank you to all the people who responded to this posting and sent wonderful cards.

Mema, you were like a mother to me. You raised from when I was just a baby. Words can't even describe how much I miss you already, I miss just being able to tell you I love you and goodnight. You were the strongest person I'll ever know. You're beautiful inside and out and me and Poppo miss you so much. It's gonna be hard but I'm trying my best to be happy because I know that is what you would have wanted. I know someday I'll see you again and I know you're watching over me so that alone makes me happy. I love you.

Dear Mom,
Yesterday God took you to a better place where you would no longer suffer everyday. and though I know you are finally at peace, it hurts knowing you are gone. I love you with every breath I take and every tear I cry. I promise to hold Dads hand along the way and never let it go. Alexis is such a strong young woman so wise beyond her years, and all a reflection of you. She loves her Mema so very much.I know you wouldnt want us to sit around crying, you would want us to be strong and go on and live each day the best we could. I thank you for being the most wonderful mother a child could ever have. I have a lifetime of memories to carry me through. I love you mommy with all of my heart and I am so proud of you we all are. You are the most courageous woman I have ever known and the most beautiful as well. Someday we will all meet again and until then I will go on and forever hold you in my heart apart of me forever. Love Always and Forever, "Your Sweet Rachel Ann" Luvie xoxoxo

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Mema,
I love you so much. You were a second mom to me at a time when I was struggling with my own mother. You're a beautiful person inside and out! I will never forget how you touched my life and the lives of my children.

Poppa and Alexis,
If you need anything, please call me. I'd be happy to help in any way that I can. Even if it's just to share memories of such a special, wonderful lady. I love you both very much.

My condolences to the whole family. Mema was a class act and the kind of person I strive to be like.

Forever in my heart,
Christy Newman

Dearest Mom,
Yesterday God took you to a place where he knew you would have no more pain and suffering. And although its a relief to know you are in a peaceful place, I am missing you so much. I will be the strong woman you raised and taught me to be, and I will hold Dads hand along the way and never let it go. I want you to know that you were the most wonderful mother to all of us and you will never be forgotten. Alexis is a strong girl and reminds me of a much younger you, she is wise beyond her years and it all reflects upon you and your love you had to share with her. It hurts so bad right now and I'm sure it will for a long time, but I will do my best as you would have wanted and I will continue each day to get stronger. I have a lifetime of memories that include you and they mean more to me then anything else in this world. I am proud of you and how strong you were, you gave it your all and fought till the end. I love you Mommy and I will always be your "Sweet Rachel Ann" Love Always, YOUR Luvie xoxooxoxoxo
