Mamie Jenkins Obituary


Mamie Geraldine "Gerri" Jenkins, 72, of Front Royal, died Sunday, June 6, 2010, surrounded by her family and friends at Heritage Hall.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Chaplain Roger Vorous and her sibling George Marvin Shrader. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jenkins was born May 20, 1938, in Virginia, daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtle Burress Shrader. She worked for numerous businesses in Front Royal. Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by siblings Charles Shrader, Bobby Shrader, Fredia Shrader, and Sammy Shrader, and brothers-in-law Billy Kidwell and Bob Huff; and a sister-in-law Gertie Shrader.

She is survived by a son Raymond S. Jenkins, III of Front Royal; a brother George Marvin Shrader and his wife Faye of Elizabethton, TN; three sisters Martha Robinson and her husband Mack of Front Royal, Linda Kidwell of Smithsburg, MD, and Betty Huff of Germantown, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be George Shrader Jr., Erick Robinson, Phil Robinson, Glenn Robinson, Mackie Robinson, and Victor Kidwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Huff, Jimmy Huff, Bobby Shrader, Derrick Robinson, Bruce Shrader, Jared Shrader, Britton Babb, Austin Babb, Marty Flanery, Britton Robinson, Jeromie Robinson, Devin Robinson, Chris Martin, Tony Williams, B.J. Slate, Zachary Whited, Jacob Whited, Jerome Robinson, Timmy Sutherly, Allen Sibert, Mickey Licklider, Allen Smoot, and members of the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
