J Perry Obituary

ARIZONA – J Richard Perry, 69, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, in Arizona.
He was born July 24, 1941, to Owen and Florence Perry. He grew up in Harvard.
He was the president of his class at Harvard High School in 1959. He graduated from Bradley University in 1963 and commissioned as a U.S. Air Force officer. Captain Perry was honorably discharged in 1974 after duty at Travis, Azores Island and Scott Field AFBs. After his military career, his family resided in Springfield until 1979. He completed his master's degree at the University of Illinois in 1976, taught there and managed systems with Franklin Life and the State.
His career progressed to Phoenix and Manhattan, N.Y., in 1979 as director of marketing for American Express. Returning to Arizona in 1981, he finished his career as the general manager of Lear Data in 2005.
He was a classic car collector, enjoyed NASCAR, camping and sharing time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Perry; his sister, Carolyn Haverly; his son, Jeff Perry (Lori); his daughter, Lonette Kissel (Chris); his niece, Kimberly Schumacher; and his nephew, Ted Haverly.
