DONALD MICHAEL LaVELLE

Donald Michael LaVelle HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, AR - Donald Michael LaVelle, age 60, passed away at his home in Hot Springs Village, AR surrounded by family on June 13, 2018, after a three year battle with cancer. He was born on July 16, 1957 in Hammond, IN to Donald L. and Barbara J. (Coleman) LaVelle. Don graduated from Hobart High School in 1975 and went to work for Northern Indiana Public Services Company (NIPSCO) in 1976, which is where he retired from in April of 2013 after 37 years of service. On June 30, 2001 he married Marian Lynn Bruckbauer. They enjoyed traveling, spending time on twelve acres of land they owned in Leopold, IN, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandkids. His hobbies were fishing, eBaying, working on cars, watches/clocks, and golfing. He is survived by his loving wife Marian, step-sons John Vidimos, Michael (Melodie) Vidimos and Melissa (Charles) Harvin, his grandchildren, Logan, Kaela, Tyler, Ryan, Ashley and Austin. His brother John (Caroleen) LaVelle, and sisters Shari (Michael) Murray and Sue (Mike) Tinglof, nephews Justin and Jack and nieces Samantha and Elizabeth, along with many loving extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. LaVelle, mother, Barbara J. LaVelle and Aunt Eleanore Coleman. Don was a friend to everyone and the best Grandpa there could be. He will be missed terribly, but we are at peace knowing he is with our Heavenly Father. Rest in peace my sweet Don, I will love you forever!! There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends for Donald at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 E. 109th Ave., Winfield, IN on July, 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Arrangemens are entrusted to CEDARVALE FUNERAL HOME.
