I met Lee in about 1980. My band was playing at a club in Odessa. He came out and sat in with us. A few days later, he invited my band to stay at his house! When ever we would play in Odessa, TX I always stayed at his house. We kept in touch over the years. I met Judy when she and Lee first got together, and they would later marry. A few years ago, we touched base again via facebook. Lee knew I couldn't afford a new camera that I wanted, so he sent me one. He was having some major health issues and provided me with a tool to take nice photos so he could enjoy them. He kept saying when he got better, and untethered, he was coming to Alaska to hang out with me. He was a true friend, and a friendship I will always cherish! RIP Lee.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Lee.We met him in 2007. I had a couple of race cars for sale and he came to Ohio to look at them. It was an instant friendship. We talked for hours about racing. He came back and bought both of them. I always emailed him at Christmas and he would always reply back. He told me this past Christmas of his illness and said he wanted to come and visit me and my wife again when he got better. That really touched me of having a friend so far away. I always hoped I would be able to meet up with him again. The drag racing community has lost a great friend and racer.
RIP LEE LIGHTFOOT We will never forget you.

We loved having Lee home and here for Christmas. He was a fantastic conversationalist and could speak on any subject. The house was crazy busy and loud the night he was here and he said " I know you just love this! It's right up your alley"! He had a grand time and was the last to leave.
I am thankful for the Lord's promise of eternal life with him if accept him into our hearts. I know you are safe and whole in the arms of our Lord bubs.

We will miss Uncle Lee & his colorful stories. My favorite memory with him is riding on the back of his motorcycle as a young child. He helped to breed fearlessness in me. I am grateful he is no longer suffering and receiving his eternal reward - true life with Jesus.

I became friends with Lee during dialysis. We both shared our struggles, concerns, & frustrations. We conversed on some nights the entire treatment!
He seemed like a great man that I wished I would have know sooner. I will miss him and I am thankful he no longer suffers. God Bless Lee and your family.
