Doyle Jenkins Obituary
He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred; loving father of Gary (Carol), and Kathryn Combs; dearest grand-father of Laura Davis ( Donald) and Lea Jenkins; dear brother of 12; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9, 12 noon at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME, 3653 W. Market Street, Fairlawn, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, 11 a.m. until time of service. Online condolences may be viewed at catavolos funeralhome.com. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.

Gary & Family...Really miss your Dad and enjoyed working with him for many years at Akron U. Never forget him calling us "Youse fellers" and telling us how he earned "cooncackie (sp?) on the hoot-owl shift"! God Bless you during this sad time.

To Gary and the Jenkins family, we are sending to you our sincere condolences on the passing of Doyle. We fondly remember him working with members of our family at the University of Akron. My Dad, Bob Gesquiere, and Doyle shared many good times over the years, both at work and at play. Those memories always brought us smiles. Joe also remembers the good times he shared with Doyle during their years together at the University.

Jane and Doyle were like parents to me growing up and in my whole life almost 50 years; they were the best grandparents my daughter ever knew. They spent lots of time with her. Jane taught her to tie her shoes and cook and sew. She sat on grandpa's lap watching the nascar races and even saw some country music shows that Jane & Doyle really enjoyed. Jane & Sabrina laughed together often..They are both deeply missed.

I miss watching those nascar races and watching the birds on the patio, and hangout visiting on the enclosed porch on the nice sunny days with Grandma Jane out there, too.
