Sidney Cholak Obituary
NORTON -- Sidney "Sid" Cholak, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
He was a life resident of the Norton/Barberton area. Sid retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 46 years of service and attended Thayer Street Church of Christ church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mark and "Patty" and his first wife, Olean; survived by his wife of 14 years, Brenda; two stepsons; one step-grandson; other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with David Flatt officiating. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery. Sid's family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron, Ohio 44307-2463.

I worked with Sid for many years at B&W in Barberton . He was a good friend. We had the common love for hot sauce and I remember when he couldn´t eat it he sent all he had to me. Iam glad God brought him and Brenda together after Olean died

I am so sorry for your loss. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow "May the God who gives hope fill your family with all joy and peace by your trusting in him, so that you may abound in hope" of one day seeing your loved one again. So sad to hear of Sid's passing. His first wife, Olean and I were best of friends for many years until her death.
I remember that Sid loved to take pictures and he was really good at it.
