Bette Virginia Aubrey

Bette Virginia Aubrey was born October 12, 1931 to John and Vela Fortin in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Washington University. Bette married Bill Aubrey in 1957. She worked as an LPN and social worker at Timberlane until her retirement. In her later years, she lived at Danforth Senior Citizen Center. Bette left us gracefully January 1, 2008, with her children by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. Bette was preceded in death by son, Danny Eugene Aubrey and husband, Bill Aubrey. She is survived by son, Bill Aubrey and wife Deborah of Oklahoma City; daughter, Sandy Aubrey-Tangeman and husband Eric Tangeman of Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren, Jacob Koger, Chris Koger, John Merkey and wife Jennifer, Andrew Aubrey, Ashlee Aubrey, Whitney Tangeman, Malory Tangeman & Erin McPherson; and four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Erica, Ryan and Bailey. Visitation will be in the funeral home Thursday, January 3, 2008, from noon to 8 p.m. Services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Guardian West Chapel, 5820 N.W. 41st St. in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
