Richard Patrick Pate, age 54, of Demorest, Georgia, and formerly of Monroe, Georgia, and Pearland, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, following an extended illness. Richard was born on December 26, 1960, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Laningham Pate and his first wife, Becky Shannon Pate. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Monroe, Georgia. Before becoming disabled, Richard was employed with Gwinnett County Public Works. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Mason Pate, Monroe, GA; father and step-mother, Daniel and Patty Pate, Houston, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Michelle Pate, Pearland, TX; sons, Clayton Pate, Laconia, NH; Patrick Pate, Monroe, GA; daughters, Amber Riddle, Demorest, GA, Sherrodie Pate, Monroe, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Amy Pate, Corpus Christi, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Charles Scott, Pearland, TX; Stacey Pate, mother of Clayton Pate; grandchildren, Dennis Riddle, Matthew Riddle, Clifford Riddle, Steven Riddle, Kaylee Pate, and Andrew Pate; nieces, Cayla Pate and Sarah Pate; nephew, Matthew Pate; numerous other family members. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church, Monroe, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
