Here it is almost Sept.2011 and I was th inking of you again as I do from time to time but this time I Googled you and was shocked to learn that you had left for the great beyond. You had so much to offer and I was so glad that I was the one who introduced you Voice-over DJ Ken Griffin and his good friend Joey Reynold (the Great-One)with whom we made the first singing ID's for KTTV & all the 5 Metromedia TV Stations along with Singing Promos for KTTV's line-up. Joey had Jack Keller working with us writing and producing the jingles...some of the happiest times of our lives. We lived to Promote kTTV...and have fun too! Jannett Fede (miss you)

lee- a couple of nites ago i was multitasking on the computer as usual- almost begining to let life grind me down ,when i had this urge to call 1 of my friends. as i did so i then noticed an email from jolee . it said 'will you open this' and it was destiny that i did .
when my girlfriend answered the phone - she said that she was just thinking how she needed to speak to me and wa going to call me and this was the same exact moment i read the part of jolee's message which saying that true friends are "clairvoyant" .
then - when i sent jolee a thank you email for conecting me , my girlfriend and her all together- she reminded me how it all began with you.
you are still bringing people together , always clairvoyant and caring of each other and a shining example of how to let life's struggles not grind us down but instead to polish us up.

How can I ever repay you for bringing into my life Carole and RA? RA just sent me an email and I had to make this entry. I will never forget you as long as I live! Please save me a place by your side! Since we did not meet in this life - maybe we can meet in the afterlive! I hope so! You were so loved by so many people! And, of course, me included! Even though I did not meet you in person - we had a once in a lifetime connection! I will always love you, my friend! Lioness aka Jo aka JoLee

I have just randomly learned of Lee's death and am very sad to hear this news. Lee was my first boss out of college, in 1992, in NYC and I was his admin at the time. The thing I remember most about Lee is that he truly believed in and followed his ideas despite how wild they might have been to others and that he wore his heart on his sleeve and was extremely generous. He would feel bad asking me to do some "work" and in return for probably feeling guilty (for no reason, it was my job) would offer me frequent flier airline tickets so I could fly free to see my boyfriend who lived in L.A. at the time because I made so little money as a person right out of school in their first media job. Because of Lee's help both professionally and personally I have been married to my husband for over 10 years because we were able to cutlivate our love affair with frequent visits during the early part of our relationship and I also enjoy a carrer in media that I love.
Lee and I lost touch when I moved to Seattle years ago, but I know if I had run into him on the street somewhere someplace during this time it would be a really nice conversation.

Hello Gorgeous,
I can't believe there are no new entries, since it has been (2) years since your death. I think of you often and have asked myself several times why did you have to die so soon? I could kick myself several times over that I gave you the space you said you needed re decompressing time. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have listened to you. The weird part of it all is that normally I would have gone with my instinct and called you any way. I will never forget you.

Lee was such a fireball and so filled with zany and profitable promotional ideas that we had some grand adventures spinning straw into gold in the very early days of WTIC-TV in Hartford. I learned only recently of his death and he leaves a behind many admirers, colleagues and people who benefited from working with him. He shall be missed.

Dear Lee - My son and I were saddened to learn of your passing. You were part of our lives for the years we shared a home together. Although we chose to end our engagement, I knew you would find love again. I'll always remember you as the man who swept me off my feet. You were truly unique. May God watch over you.

It was so wonderful receiving Ruthie's entry today. I remember so many delightful things about the friendship we all shared.
Lee, the parties that began because of you are still alive and well. I would like to share a letter from a couple that met at one recent one so you know that your energy has been bringing love to so many people.....and in that, you live on and on.
Dear Janet,
Rita and I met at your house on Dec. 24, 2005. Although it was only 7 weeks ago, it seems like a lifetime to us.
We want to take this opportunity at your house, right before Valentine's day, to thank you for changing our lives. We will alwyas remember your kindness and generosity and be grateful for providing the incubator for our newborn love. You are a wonderful alchemist who has transformed many lives. The warmth and joy of your home is a reflection of your kind spirit. The night we spent at your home was one of the happiest of our lives. The food, the music, the company, the environment were wonderful; and we met and got to learn about each other.
Rita and I hope that you and yours will be showered with many blessings in both the near future and beyond. YOu certainly deserve it.
Thank you for the greatest gift of all..love,
J & R
So, Lee, may you and yours be showered with many blessings in both the near future and beyond. IT was all because of you and your generous spirit and loving kindness....

A gentle friend, so sweet and kind
A better friend one could not find......
So, Lee, I'm sending love your way

Lee worked for me early in his career(early '70s). Coming from promotion, he had creativity and enthusiasm for the TV product that elevated it beyond rote selling. His unique approach to seeing only the good, mirrored his lifestyle. He was always into work early and never wore shoes in the office. Perhaps we will still hear the patter of those Rudnick feet. Rest well.

I would not be sitting in this chair today if it were not for Lee Rudnick. In the mid 1980’s I was a Research Analyst for Petry Television. In the midst of transitioning from Petry station WXIX-TV (Cincy), Lee graciously granted me an interview with him at his new non-Petry station WTIC-TV (Hartford). Without question, I was “very green” and not very experienced, but Lee hired me anyway. Now, some 18 years later and as a Vice President and General Manager for Clear Channel Television, I reminisce about the man who gave me that first chance. Lee, my friend, you were one of kind and will be missed! I am forever indebted to you for “that” chance!

Lee will be missed greatly. While we only worked together via phone (and some e-mail) for about 2 and a half years, I always commented to my friends and peers in the industry about what a joy it was to have a fresh, positive attitude in the media business. Lee really stood out for his honesty, generosity and kind nature. A class act... Best Wishes to everyone who is dealing with this tragic loss.

I worked with Lee at WXIX-TV in Cincinnati many years ago. Lee was the GSM and I the promotion manager. Lee had so much positive enthusiasm and attitude for the station, life and everyone he met. I used to chuckle over his go-go-go spirit. He just didn't seem capable of sitting still. He had a bowl on his desk always filled with M&Ms and ate them by the handful. Then his enthusiasm level would go way up! Lee took a personal interest in people, always ready to lend a hand or ear when needed. You were much more than an A-OK guy, Mr. Lee. Thank You, Mr. Lee.

I am so sadden to hear of Lee's passing. I know Lee for almost 30 years. We did business throughout his career and mine, Cincinnati, Hartford even when he was in the head hunting business. I had the distinct pleasure to work for Lee at WTIC-TV when it was in its infancy (1987). His passion for the business was only matched by his kindness and warmth to all he touched. He was a great teacher and friend. The world was a better place because of Lee Rudnick. I shall surely miss him.

Needless to say, I am shocked and saddened over Lee's passing. Lee was -- and I am devastated even referring to him in the past -- a kind, smart and generous individual. At a time when I needed an ear, and a job, Lee gave me his time, his insight and the courage to move forward. In a business not known for sincerity, Lee's friendship and spirit over the years was an unexpected bonus. He will be greatly missed, and remembered fondly.

Lee was my cousin and one of the kindest souls I've ever known. While we only saw one another a few times a year, he was the kind of person who always made sure that I knew he was there no matter what. When Lee found out I wanted to work in media, he was constantly offering input and suggestions as to places I could look and people I could meet. When I lost my job, he kept me in mind every single time he saw a job posting. When my mom was sick with cancer, he and Diane visited her in the hospital every single day. They spent hours and hours with her, spoke with her doctors, became acquainted with the nurses and made sure that my mother had absoultely the best care possible. Lee held my hand during her final days, helped me get through her funeral and even went back to the hospital to thank each and every doctor and nurse who tried their hardest to save her. I didn't know Lee very well when I was growing up, but the unspoken bond that became over that time is something that has kept us close over the past 6 years. Lee was my cousin, but acted more like an uncle. In fact, he often referred to me as his niece. Being that he was an only child, I didn't have the heart to point out that that wasn't actually possible. I just smiled. If he wanted me to be his niece, that worked for me. Lee was an amazing character with an amazing heart. I'm really going to miss him and the smiles he brought into my life. I don't know if there is such a thing as HDate up in Heaven, but if there is, I'm pretty sure Lee is planning a mixer right about now with my mother dancing beside him.

Lee was a person whom I am not ashamed to say I loved. He was always kind, friendly and giving. Even though we did not hang out together we shared many of our experiences and had great times in each others company. Lee was always nice in a way you don't see nowadays. He was a person who built other people up and never tore them down. My favorite memories of Lee was walking the 5 flights of stairs in the mornings and rapping about life and music trying to get into shape. They were momments that while not Poignant to some meant the world to me becuase Lee was always open and honest. When I remember Lee I will always remember him going out of his way to get tickets for me and my family to go to Disney on Ice. I miss him and I pray his family will be comforted to know he was a Good man who others loved.

I knew Lee very briefly. But in that brief time, he brought such joy to my life. There are no words to describe the happiness he gave me. I regret that there wasn't enough time to get to know him. I knew in my heart, that he was not only gorgeous on the outside, but on the inside, also. He had such an impact on my life, I will never forget him. I know he is in a better place, and I hope, he will look down and see me and know that he still brings me joy with my memories. He will have a place in my heart forever. I consider myself so lucky that I was able to meet him. Once again, there are no words to describe the happiness he brought into my life.
