What can I say about Lee that hasn't already been said? He was an awesome person to know. I was so honored to have him as a friend and a co-worker. He made nightshift fun. I miss him all the time. I pray for the family and just wanted to let you know that you had an outstanding son, father and husband. Anyone who knew him knew that just his presence made things better. There will never be another like you. Until we meet in heaven, I miss you

Lee Holmes was always larger than life...if he did it, he did it "Big" and it didn't matter what people thought. He worked the last 2 years of his life for a government contracted agency helping to aid and protect our troops. He found out a couple of years ago that he had some heart issues but he bounced back and finally set his life on what seemed a positive course. Ironically...Lee had a heart of gold when it came to his family and friends. He was one of the best friends I have ever had and we've always been there for each other through some of the hardest times in our lives. He definitely enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest...sometimes a little faster than others...sometimes a little harder than others but that was Big Lee.
Lee was a proud father and had yet to see the full extent of what fatherhood had to offer. He had one more year abroad before he was going to move back to the States permanently, to re-start his life, once again.
Those of you who were lucky enough to know Lee...consider yourself blessed. He was a true friend...and I love him like a brother and my heart hurts for his family and for void that will always be with me. Rest in peace...brother...
