One of the best teachers I had the pleasure of sitting before. She was a great benefit to me.

Mary was a very special person and a profound influence on my own life. She taught me math in high school, and when I returned to WWHS as an English teacher she became a mentor and a personal support system. She was a close neighbor of my parents and was "right there" to offer help and comfort when my father died unexpectedly. I would have been happy to have been half the teacher or half the human being that Mary was. Those of us who knew her will miss her profoundly, but we are all better for having had her in our lives.

Mary, they needed a Math teacher in heaven! I hope I've come close to emulating your enthusiasm for your profession!
