Regina Clifford Obituary

Regina Mary Clifford NORFOLK - Regina Mary Clifford, the former Regina Gaddis, died at 4:05 p.m. Jan. 6, 2011. She was 84 years old. A native of New York, Mrs. Clifford attended schools in Eastchester, N.Y., and Charleston, S.C. She graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City in 1947. Mrs. Clifford married U.S. Navy Ensign William Clifford in 1948 in Charlotte, N.C., and spent the next 30 years as a Navy wife making many moves and making their home in Hawaii, Italy, France, as well as many ports on both coasts of the United States. Rear Adm. Clifford retired in 1978, and the Cliffords lived in Clearwater and Sun City Center, Fla., for the last 30 years where Mrs. Clifford was an avid golfer. She relocated to Virginia Beach in 2010. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Regina Paul of Northport, N.Y., and Susan Elizabeth Collins of Norfolk, as well as two grandchildren, Kristin Harmon and John Rathjen of Virginia Beach. She will be inurned at the U.S. Naval Academy at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
