Susan Kay Millender, Age 63, of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born November 22, 1954 in Gary, IN to Elvis Elton and Darlene Mariam (Clemens) Cowsert. Sue is survived by her husband, Don Millender Jr. of Valparaiso, IN; sons, Tom (Angie) Millender Sr. of Lake Station, IN, Donnie Lee (Tammy) Millender III of Valparaiso, IN and Scott (Sara Boyd) Millender Sr. of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Sandra (Randall) Cooper of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Rodney Thornton, Thomas Millender Jr., Timothy Millender, Triston Millender, Dakota Trial, Andrew Trial, Erika Carmon, Destiny Millender, Tyler Millender, Quintin Trial, Scott Millender Jr., Sabree Millender and Sydnee Krull; nephew, Fred Coleman; niece, Cassie Sutton; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; sisters, Dixie Cowsert and Marilyn Wilson and brother, Tom Cowsert. Sue enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed word searches. She was a very laid-back person and above all else she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 29th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery in Portage, IN.
