FUNARO SAMUEL R.
Age 88, of Mt. Washington, on Monday, November 14, 2011. Beloved husband of 64 years, of Josephine (Juliano) Funaro; loving father of Gabriel (Karen) Funaro, Joseph Funaro, and Lydia Willig; cherished grandfather of Paul (Jen), Amanda Funaro, Alyssa, and Sam Willig; loving great-grandfather of Josie, Julian, and Roman; son of the late Gabriel and Maria Rose Funaro; brother of Rose, Millie, Elizabeth, Eugene, Jerry, and the late Josephine, Lena, Frank, and Bill. Also survived by brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Samuel was a staff SGT. in the Army Air Force during WWII and was employed by the Clark Candy Co. for 42 years. Family and Friends welcome Wednesday 6-8 p.m. Thursday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at WM. SLATER & SONS INC., Virginia Ave. and Kearsarge St., Mt. Washington. Funeral mass in St. Justin Church Friday 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery.

The sweetest man God placed on the earth has been taken home. All heaven is rejoicing, while we grieve our loss of his presence. Our home will be empty without Sam in the garden tending his tomatoes and peppers.

I am so glad I made time to see and hug Sam when I was home in October. I will charrish all the memmories growing up with Lydia and her family. Love you all and I will miss him terribly.
