Marian McKeefrey Obituary

Marian J. McKeefrey

Red Hook - Marian J. McKeefrey, 82, a long time resident of Red Hook, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her home in Red Hook, NY. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Leon and Irene (Miklos) Cudyk.

After working as a secretary in the Corporate Offices of Benjamin Moore Co. in New York City she joined IBM as a secretary when her family moved to Red Hook.

Marian married the love of her life, Ronald P. McKeefrey at St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook on September 12, 1953. He predeceased her on June 3, 2010.

Marian will be remembered for her love of animals. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and volunteered at the Ferncliff Nursing Home for the past four years.

She is survived by a devoted brother, Edwin J. Cudyk of Fort Collins, CO.

There will be a short prayer service on November 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY, after which she will be interred to rest by the side of her beloved husband at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.

Memorial donations may be made in Marian's memory to: American Lung Association National Headquarters: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave NW., Suite 800, Washington DC, 20004, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonment, Graymoor, P.O. Box 300, Garrison, NY 10524, or a charity of your choice.
