Johnathan Williams Obituary
He was born May 24, 1989, to the late Brenda and Jesse Williams. He was preceded in death by Brenda Williams (mother), LaVern and Henry Harris (maternal grandparents), Miles and Louise Williams (paternal grandparents), Louise and Thomas Brown (great-grandmother) and Virgie Brown (great-great grandmother).
Johnathan received his education in the Petersburg Public School System and graduated with the class of 2007 and he attended John Tyler Community College. He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va., where he served as an usher and choir member. He was employed by Hill Phoenix, Richmond, Va.
He leaves to cherish his memory loving parents, Jesse and Anita Williams; one devoted sister, Jessica Williams; two brothers, Terrance Bailey and Kirby Jones; one grandmother, Blanche Gordon; four aunts, Rosa McKinnon, Vivian Jones (Melvin), Carolyn Scott (Arnell) and Terricita Bullock (Boris); one uncle, Christopher Harris (Crystal); two deeply devoted great-aunts, Carol Brown (Franklin) and Virgie Wilson (Paul); one niece, Kaiyana Walker: two nephews, Karon Brown and King Bailey; two devoted cousins, Karen "Mama Karen" Watkins (Steven) and Patricia Crenshaw (Robert); and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Jonathan L. Williams will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 2223 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, the Rev. Jeffrey L. Reaves Sr., pastor. Interment to follow in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the above residence at 10 a.m. The family may be contacted by calling (804) 919-1755.
Remains rest at the Tucker's Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, Va. A.A. Tucker, funeral director.
